Outlook 2013 Mail not showing up in inbox.  Close and Restart  Outlook and mail shows up.  Exchange 2013.

I have one client that uses Outlook 2013 and is connected to Exchange 2013 through their local network.  They have reported from several users that they are expecting email and notice that the Inbox is not showing any new mail.  Once they close Outlook and reopen the client several email load up into the Inbox that were not there when they closed.  From the screenshots that I have seen this can be several hours back or in some cases several days back.  Some email does flow in so the unread / previously unseen mail is "shuffled" into the already read / seen mail.  I have tried turning off cached exchange mode already but hasn't fixed the issue.  Their are about 20 users at this client and all users are experiencing the issue.

Hi,

According to your description, I understand that the email message in Outlook cant be updated automatically and the issue persists in Outlook Online mode.

To narrow down the issue, please try the following changes:

1. Restart Outlook client in safe mode to check whether the issue can be reproduced.

2. In Outlook client, click Send\Receive progress dialog to check whether the messages can be updated or any error codes generated.

3. If the issue happens to all users on each computers, please check whether there is any related Exchange service not started in Exchange server.
